tearing his hamstring in the season opener

"He's like the Michael Jordan of long snapping," Chargers kicker Nate Nike Lunar Kaeding said Tuesday in regards to David Binn, his longtime teammate, friend and mentor. "I don't know if there has ever been anyone better than him in the Nike Air Flightposite league." On Tuesday, the man teammates occasionally referred to as Uncle Dave was released. Binn, the Nike Zoom Chargers' record holder with 256 regular season games played, including the last 179 Women Ralph Lauren Sweaters of those in a row, turned 39 in February and injured his calf in a preseason game Aug. 21. He missed the final 15 games of last season after tearing his hamstring in the season opener. "Obviously, the durability factor is an issue and there's a number of things that played into it," head coach Norv Turner said. " Dave has been a great part of this organization as a player and in the community for an awful long time. I have nothing but the greatest respect for him. "We have a young player (who) played for us a year ago and has Nike Foamposite Boot had an outstanding camp. We felt this was the time to make this decision to give Dave a chance, if someone's interested, if he's interested in trying to play somewhere else. And obviously we have to get ready for the season." While an unprecedented era ends in San Diego with the departure of the Nike Foamposite Boot longest tenured player in franchise history, the Chargers are actually extending Jordan 5 continuity at the position as well. Mike Windt handled snaps for the Chargers the final 11 games of last season without major incident. "Mike came in and did a good job," Kaeding said. "We have a lot of confidence in him going forward." Windt was by far the most accurate and most consistent of the four long snappers the Chargers brought in after Binn went down last year. The 26 year old Windt also provides an anticipated advantage over Binn in punt coverage. But Jordan Flight 45 the fact is, no one could remember the last time Binn who Women Ralph Lauren Olympics was unavailable Tuesday made a bad snap on punts or field goals. What made punter Mike Scifres and Kaeding marvel for so many years was that Binn's snaps on field goals would be on target and laces out, with no need for Scifres, the holder, to make adjustments, nine times out of 10. "He was always perfect," Scifres said. "He could close his eyes and every snap would be the same." It was just Saturday night that a ball Kaeding went to kick on a snap from Windt was essentially still spinning when Scifres got it. Windt did not shy away from Binn's legacy or the shadow it casts. "He set the standard, and I hope to live up to his standard," Windt said. " There's no pressure, there's just opportunities. You get opportunities put in front of you, and you do the best you can to fulfill those opportunities. I got an opportunity in front of me right now and I feel like, yeah, Dave was here for 18 years and he was great at what he did, he was perfect at what he did. I don't really want to fill anyone's shoes, I just want to do my thing and do my job to the best of my ability."
